Whoa o.o

This isn't saying you ripped off someone else or got inspiration from them. >.<. Its just a coincidence!

at about 00:55 or so this song really got into a vibe that made me felt it belonged in Mass Effect. I was putting in some files into a flashdrive whlie listening and i'm like "Whoa! This is mass-effecty."

I'm just saying that this music is in high-quality, it belongs in a game which is .. well, sort of one of the best ever. It would be the best ever made ever if Bioware put as much effort into sidequests and companion defelopment as they did in KotoR, but you can't have everything. Especially when it is just one disk of information.

Kay anyway, 5/5 10/10. Nice song!

popraz responds:

Wow ! Thank you ! Well, Bioware might not have put in as much effort in Mass Effect as they did in KotoR, as you said, but they still own the RPG market and it's still great quality work overall, even better than Fallout 3 for example (which kicked ass too). Maybe they'll improve with Mass Effect 2 and 3.

I expected this to be another song, a FFVI remix, then I turn it on and i'm like "wtf this isn't when you go into the crater in the world O-O"

I absolutely love the intro, hehe. After the intro it gets a little less epic, but whatever. Its a nice quality song :3

Hades responds:

Yeah, well, it seems that you're not the first one to expect some FF music out of this. ;D I'm glad you liked it enough to spare some time for this review. Thanks!

Non-remix songs often make me make stories...

A man trudges through a wasteland in the night, the floor covered in black, formless slush, every step he takes kicks up the slush into the air in a dust-like appearance, the stale taste of the sludge entering his mouth every so often. This place was a battleground.... one in an ancient war, war of survival. Hulks of dead vehicles lie scattered everywhere, the power sources of the ancient wepaonry having worn itself off a long time ago.
He holds up a bracer he is wearing near his mouth, pressing down onto a button, producing a beep.
"Nothing so far... Substance 26-B has degraded into its last stage everywhere, only a junkyard remains."
The bracer 'talks' back to him, another male voice... late fourties, maybe.
"Damn it... keep looking, you've only been down on the battlefield for less than a hour! If we find a intact piece of Substance 26-B we'd be loaded for who knows how long!"
"Yeah yeah, I know... these machines must've used all of the substance's energy up over the years... I would have thought it would have started to re-grow into a hot-spot for 26-B."
He then lets go of the button, letting his hands rest at his sides. A low noise to his right is heard.. something shuffling about the sludge in the distance. The man pulls out a pistol from its hoilster... This thing fired specail slugs with suspended plasma inside its shell, the bullet itself shot via magnetic coils. It'd take care of any kind of life form on this planet.
He holds his bracer up, just pressing another button, setting it on continued broadcast.
"Hey, you know anything about this planet's inhabitants? I think i've found something... too damn dark to see anything, though."
"Eh? This side of the planet has a few harmess species... not much has survived since whatever war happened here tore apart this whole side of the planet... The rest of the planet's species is on the jungle on the other side. Hell, i'm not even sure what your hearing, I'm not picking up any lifesigns besides your own up here."

"Whatever, I know I heard something..." He says, approaching the sound, turning on an addon flashlight he has on the pistol. Suddenly something with black, pulsating bulges moves and stares at him - Its face looks like it could have been some kind of humanoid, but its face is terribly malfromed, the same black stuff on it. It starts growling, making the man yelp and unload a bolt into the thing's face, practically blowing its face up from the released plasma that melted most of its face... the sound of the mini-railgun's fire travelling over the whole area, the response being hundreds of growls, close by and in the distance.
"...Whats that? I don't like the sound of that."
His bracer says, the man being frozen for a second before looking around him, the growls are comming from EVERYWHERE around him.
"... Shit, get me out of here!" He says, looking around frantily now.
"What? I'm not even picking up any lifesigns or signals from any machines! Whats going on down there?"
Some vaugely humanod, black-bulge covered thing leaps out from the darkness with a snarl, the man blowing off the things torso, sending it backwards.
"Just do it, get your sorry ass out of space and down here NOW!"
He turns and shoots at another... then another, then slides to the side when another lunges at him, shooting it when it lands on the ground..... then he gets pwnd the end.

Too lazy to put any more in it! Beside sonly 500 characters left, lol. Nice creepy music going on! Creepy music is always good.

The main character wakes up in a dark room, cold and damp. Nothing is there to greet her, nothing but the sound of a cable sparking to her right, the repeditive spark giving the room brief flashes of light. She sits up, confused... How she got here was a blur. All she remembers is her own ship losing power, life support having failed as she passes out from the lack of oxygen. She lets out a sigh, looking around the room. She's in a simple square room made of cold metal, black dust floating in the air, every time she opens her mouth she tastes the stale powder, the powder scentless. Behind her there are six tubes... a base of metal that supports a glass tubing, one that looks like someone could fit in when closed. Four are broken and one has the base ripped out of the floor. The base is all the way across the room, its on top of someone, though its much too dark to see any details. The woman crawls over to the man, eventually landing her hand in a puddle of gore. She yelps and jumps back, looking at her hands... She stands up, and looks towards the door, an open doorway with the sliding doors blown off, from the inside or outside she can't tell. She composes herself a little, then walks over to the man, trying to find a gun or something useful off of him. She find what LOOKS like a pistol, pulling it out of his hand. "S-sorry..." She says, not bothering to check what race the crushed man is as she walks out of the room.

The area outside a rectangle room, lit dimly by malfunctioning violet lights on the ceiling. The room is what looks like was a genocide - Multiple people with skin varying from gray to white to red with various mechanical implants are scattered dead all about, half cut like tissue paper by something... yet more torn apart, blown up, crushed...
This room looks like it was a control room for something, various consoles with many buttons strewn about, most of them part of the wall, though even consoles that were apparently PART of the wall got torn out, leaving a dark hole.
Keeping her weapon closeby, she looks to the three doors she hasn't entered yet... left wall, front wall, right wall. She walks over to the closest one, the left, and peeks in.... Only a few feet away is a collapsed corridor, the cieling having fallen. "No way i'm getting through that..." She says very silently, backing away. She now moves towards the front door...
1:50
Bodies everywhere in a long, corridor-like room. suddenly, the sound of a repeating phrase is heard, somewhat distant, a foreign language of some kind. She turns to her left, peeking through a door... a four-legged spider-like robot is half destroyed, repeating the same phrase over and over, glitching pronounciation often. She lets out a sigh... this place is creepy, much too creepy...

Kay um, hope you liked the spam that was invented out of this song. Too lazy to keep going, only got 1000 characters left or so now. High quality, inguenitive layout, good use of insturments, creepy... epic.

5/5 10/10!

punk7890 responds:

Holy shit. I love you so much :))))))))))))))

Very wonderful story there my friend! That is not spam!
Like wow I think your my hero.

Thanks so much for the review! Happy to hear some more from you. :)

LOL

AWSOME!!! :D

Really, you have to go to VGCats place. Its a comic strip here, and this is the exact text in that episode.. but then I don't know whats the rest <.<

Hathor-Liderc responds:

The rest is a gag reel we made out of boredom.

Huh

I'll give you the full, um, score I gave the other song, but... I really wouldn't if it wasn't for the non-fully electric songs. I just don't like that kind of stuff. T_T Oh well. Its a nice song, and now I can review it in full.

I absolutely hate the intro, but thats just because its my opinion since I absolutely positively hate vocals. Especially when it says "BASE" or w/e it said. Now that i've listened to the intro more fully I appreciate the hardcore-ness more, the intro just made me zoom past the whole intro though =P. You did a nice job keeping it non-repeditive by putting in the softer part.

At around 1:30 it gets pretty nice, its like a mix of hardcore and soft-ish, without being too bad, it sounds realistic enough to be creative, it has a non-repeditive tone, but then you put in that vocal again... >.<.

Anyway, This is a superbly well-done song for this song not being a remix of some song already made. Congrats dere person ;3

Carf responds:

Thanks for the well devined review, its much appriciated :).
New things will come up shortly, but you can find a lot of my *other* work which I do
with a friend under the name Creactive Labs.

Hey,

You should host this up on filefront for me in its full version ^_^ For real. I know you said its a mid-secion from a long song, but that means you need to post the full version up ya? XD

Onto the real review. I liked the strings you put in and love the notes put in near the end, its just an utter shame I couldn't get to hear the rest. I'd make a bigger review, but its a short 'song' :<

Carf responds:

Its the midsection of a hardstyle track which is also on NG under the namde Dragonfly Ext version ;).
Altrough I think I am going to work this one out in a complete Classical song. But that is a thing todo after I finished Fallout3...cause this game keeps me away from producing music... I know...bad thing, but I will get tons of inspiration back from it :).

Thanks for the review! It's very much appriciated.

Lol

Good song ^_^ Its a remix of the 'theme' of Sephiroth as well as your own inputs into the song, making it different in your way. You even got the heartbeat just right, so many people mess that up, or the tension-string like effects.

Now a uh, you know, suggestion. You should like TOTTALLY do a remix of the song Those who accpept the protection of the planet. Its a heavy uber song, and you can look into it if you want. Its the song that plays when you fight against Genesis... In a place that I don't wanna say for spoilers. So yeah :D

Nermio responds:

Ok, Thanks! I might as well look into it!

o.o

lol, to play this song on an actual piano would take talent. it sounds like a rather complex song o.o

Phyrnna responds:

Yeah, I did actually play it though and record it. That's why the quality is not so great since I used a web chat microphone. It's not EXTREMELY complex, but complex enough to require some practice even for me. ^_^

Epic.

This is like what kind of music I would expect to be 'played' during a end-part of a universe I made if it was made a game... a place of bright cyan colors, the color of life in that universe. This planet, though, has a dark sky... Twisted desires and corruption have finnally reached the source of life, dark violet thunder cracks in the distance, with one lone man in tattered clothes looking down at the scene from a cliff.

This is the music that would play as you explore the planet :O lawl. gj there! Whenever people make me think of my universe and also are of high-quality, I take notice.

You made a high-quality peice here.

Dufanzy responds:

Thank you very much. I'm glad it made an impact in some way. I humbly thank you for considering it high-quality.

Duh.
